Welcome to the community planning web site from East Hampshire District Council. Here you will find a variety of helpful facts including information on the benefits of community planning, guidance on producing a good quality plan, sources of funding for the process and examples of completed plans. You will also find an interactive map which will tell you which parishes are involved in community planning. It will show the current stage of development of the parish/town plan and whether a village/town design statement has also been produced. A variety of information held by our data and intelligence team can also be accessed via this map on a parish, ward and district level. Not all information that we hold is shown. So if you would like to find out what other information is available, the data and intelligence team will be only too happy to help. We also have a users forum where you can register and talk to others about community planning issues. Please note we are also on Facebook. East Hampshire District Council is committed to supporting communities across the district to produce good quality parish and town plans. It sees community led plans as an effective means for all sections of the community to come together, have their say and get local issues addressed. Community plans influence both the East Hampshire Community Strategy, Council Strategy and Local Development Framework (new planning system).
